Day 173: Compatibility Testing — Browser, Mobile, API & Integration

What We’re Building Today

By the end of this lesson, you will have a live Compatibility Testing Dashboard that:

  • Runs automated browser compatibility checks across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge fingerprints

  • Validates mobile viewport and touch-event compatibility

  • Tests API versioning compatibility (v1, v2 endpoints with schema drift detection)

  • Validates integration compatibility between your frontend, backend, and third-party services

  • Generates structured compatibility reports with severity scoring, stored and served from a PostgreSQL-backed API

This plugs directly into the penetration testing framework from Day 172 — your security reports feed into the same report registry that compatibility reports now populate.

Where We Are in the 180-Day Arc

Week 25 is the final quality gate before shipping. You’ve built the product, hardened it with security testing (Day 172), and now you’re systematically validating that the system works correctly across every surface a user or integration partner might touch. Day 174 is the final bug-fix sprint — so every issue surfaced today feeds that queue.
